A Product Labeling Initiative to link Product, Planet, People via a wiki

WikiPPP will be petitioning trade organizations and governments worldwide to mandate a *unique* Wiki website on all products, and advertising related to any products.

A *unique* Wiki website/URL on the product's packaging, or in the product's advertising would make be much easier for consumers to get and contribute environmental, humanitarian, product details, and company information about any product.

Some of the advantages in creating a Wiki article for every product would be:
= encouraging ethical consumerism benefiting humankind and the environment
= more consumer and citizen involvement in product development and production
= easier access to info provided by the company on a product and the company
= quicker access to the various product reviews, pricing and availability pages
= each product's unique web address would lead to a unique Wiki page that is for that product only
= product pages could be accessed while in a store via cellphones with web access or store kiosks, or at home via the web
= consumers can compete with each other in an environmental game setting  more >>

The GreenScores and GreenUPC mission is to help in-store customers find and purchase from companies that are ecologically and socially responsible. Consumers will be able to choose these companies based on their eco-social grades and company overviews.

This grade system could be:: 1/ based on the A, B, C, D or F scale, 3/ a percentage score, or, 2/ simply a PASS system.

'Scores' could be given in one or more categories:: 1/ environmental, 2/ social, 3/ local, and, 4/ other.

GS and GUPC will provide retail stores with a simple GS/GUPC Master Database/ table of eco-socio graded and summarized companies that can be easily integrated into their product labeling and pricing system using the UPC code system.  more >>
