Urban Farm Manager
(Production & Sales Lead)

Greentopia is seeking a full-time Urban Farm Manager to lead operations at our one-acre urban farm in downtown Rochester. This role is central to our Green Visions: Growing Healthy Futures workforce development program and combines hands-on farming, product sales, and program participant support. The ideal candidate is both a skilled grower and a strong communicator—someone who can produce high-quality crops while also building relationships and driving sales at local markets and retail outlets.

Position Overview

The Urban Farm Manager is responsible for overseeing the full farm-to-market cycle, including crop planning, production, and direct sales. This role also supports workforce development programming by helping train and mentor program participants alongside Greentopia staff.

Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the farm from seed to sale—a leader who is just as comfortable in the field as they are engaging customers and supporting participants. This is a hands-on role for someone who values both productivity and people. A commitment to inclusive community engagement and experience working with diverse populations is strongly valued.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $45,000–$50,000, commensurate with experience. Greentopia offers a generous benefits package, which may include health insurance, life insurance, dental, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

The role also provides a flexible work schedule that reflects the seasonal nature of farming and market activities, including occasional evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
