September Update: Growth, Gratitude & Good Things Ahead
Summer isnโt over just yet โ at least not at Green Visions! ๐
Our gardens are still blooming, and you can find us at the Rochester Public Market every Saturday through October 18, creating beautiful custom bouquets for donations. Stop by near our main office, pick up some flowers, and support local youth and community green spaces! ๐
A Fresh Look at 188 Whitney
Our Training Center at 188 Whitney just got a beautiful makeover!
On September 4, a dedicated team of volunteer decorators rolled up their sleeves to give the space a fresh new feel.
A huge thank you to Blynn Nelson (CJS Architects), Matt Mateosian (Intivity), Mary Miller (Ellie Palmer Associates), and Kirsten McDonough for donating time, materials, and creativity to the project. From new paint and seating to a custom built-in desk area, the updates look incredible โ and they even raised over $2,000 through donations from local businesses and supporters. ๐
Welcoming Our New Volunteer Partner: Holy Childhood
Weโre thrilled to begin a new partnership with Holy Childhood, an organization that supports more than 200 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
On September 18, six students joined us in the garden to help with watering and weeding โ their enthusiasm was contagious! ๐ป
For many, this was their first outdoor vocational experience, and weโre honored to be part of that journey. Over the winter, Morgan Barry will present the Green Visions program to Holy Childhood staff and students, exploring future opportunities to grow together.
Brunch in the Garden
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our Brunch in the Garden, hosted for the winners of Dinner on the Bridge!
The weather was perfect, Orange Glory catered a delicious meal, and guests went home with vibrant bouquets as a token of gratitude.
Moments like these remind us how much beauty and joy can blossom when community comes together. ๐ผ

Explore with LaBellaโs Trail Treks
Our friends and neighbors at LaBella Associates invite you to join their free Trail Treks program โ guided walks that explore local ecology and restoration practices, led by Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ecological Restoration Supervisor.
The next walk is set for October 18 (Oct 19 rain date) at Tinker Park. Itโs a wonderful way to connect with nature and learn about the ecosystems that surround us.
